When the body stops responding,, struggles to rise in the morning, fails to find restful sleep, and remains tense and in pain, it is often a result of enduring a multitude of emotional burdens—anger, blame, manipulation, spiritual or physical violence. In such circumstances, the body becomes petrified, freezing with a chilling unease, desperately crying out for help through its symptoms and discomfort.
It pleads, “Stop… let me breathe… allow me to experience my own life… shield me from those who inflict harm upon me.”
However, when the body’s pleas go unnoticed and unanswered, it continues to stiffen and harden, trapped in its own suffering.
Meanwhile, the soul, in response, begins to withhold its emotional expressions or channels them into a chronic state of sorrow, irritability, and anxiety. Within the stone walls of this impasse, one finds a sense of helplessness, confusion, and self-doubt. The longing for warmth and the closeness of another human being leads the soul down the path of self-analysis, enveloped in a cloud of guilt: “It’s all my fault… I’m a failure… I don’t belong… This isn’t my life… I lack the strength for anything…”
When working with the body, it is not always possible to perceive the inner struggles of the soul. Similarly, when attending to the soul, one may fail to notice the body’s suppressed breath.
So, what is the secret behind the one-day retreat, “Seeing and Being Seen, Hearing and Being Heard”?
It lies within faith, vulnerability, surrendering to the process, connecting with one’s own body and the movements of the soul. It is about allowing oneself to be seen and heard—cultivating a relationship with oneself, with others, with money, and with life itself.
Whatever emerges during this retreat, it shall pass. The body and soul possess an innate capacity to heal and overcome obstacles far beyond the reach of our conscious minds. They embody wisdom accumulated from the experiences of our ancestors, guiding us towards a path of wholeness and serenity. Our task is simply to create a space for this transformative movement, acting as facilitators and observing how these profound energies within each individual restore themselves.
Participants will be guided through deep work to reveal and transform the limiting beliefs to be not seen and heard, fear, shame, and unconscious blocks that we hold around being seen and heard. We’ll spend time consciously connecting to our body, our desires, and our true authenticity to cultivate a deeper understanding of the power and potential of our true self.
Constellations pieces and rituals to support you in releasing your nourishment barriers, ritual sound baths to invite you into your pleasure body, breathwork to awaken your true energy, movement practices that center the wisdom of the body, and time in nature to rest, integrate, and reconnect.
