Privacy Policy

I know how important it is to protect and take a good care of your personal data. Here you can find information about what data I collect, how I store and process it, and what you can do should you wish to see your data or have it changed or removed from my system.

What data I collect

a. If you expressed the wish to receive my email newsletters and subscribed via the subscription form on this website, I collect just your name and email address.

b. If you participated in or booked for any of my events then I collect information you provided to me when registering, usually first name, last name, email address, phone number, and in what event you participated.

c. If you leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

d. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

e. Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Why I collect your data

a. I like to stay in touch with you via my newsletters. For this reason I keep your email address.
b. I also like to keep statistics solely for my own purpose, e.g. to know how many people participated in the various my sessions and events. I therefore keep information about which events you participated in.
c. If I have collected your phone number I keep it just for the rare occasion that I might need to get in touch with you quickly, e.g. to invite you to assist in an event or to arrange car-share with other participants.
d. Keeping information about workshop participants is also necessary to me in order to provide my services.

How I store and process your data

a. In order to send you my newsletters (usually every one to two months) your data is forwarded to Brevo, our email newsletters distributor. Brevo is a third party data processing entity based in the USA and fully compliant with EU data protection legislation. If in the future we choose to use a different email marketing services provider we will assure that the new provider has appropriate privacy policy and complies with EU data protection legislation.
b. I keep your data in my system for 3 years from your last participation in my events; then it is deleted.

You personal data in my system is completely in your hands!
